SAP SuccessFactors Deployment Options
There are three deployment models available for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
Full Cloud HCM Deployment Model
In this deployment model, all HR applications exist in the cloud, while some other processes are maintained in the ERP (ECC or S/4HANA), such as Sales and Distribution or Materials Management. Other processes may exist in third-party solutions.
Core Hybrid Deployment Model
In this deployment model, core HR and talent applications reside in the cloud, while some of the HR processes, such as time, attendance, and payroll are maintained in the ERP (ECC or S/4HANA). Other processes may exist in third-party solutions other than SAP ERP.
Side-by-Side Deployment Model
This deployment model can be selected if your company wants to take advantage of the latest innovations while retaining the existing SAP HCM investment. Side-by-side deployment model is typically used to roll out Employee Central across the organization for Manager Self-Service (MSS) or Employee Self-Service (ESS), while the HR administrators continue to use SAP ERP HCM.
