Senior Architect – Software

Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Architect who brings a system-wide perspective across backend, frontend, mobile, infrastructure, data, and operationsand who can connect the dots end-to-end for an on-demand platform.

You will partner closely with the leadership team to shape how the platform is built, evolved, operated, and augmented with AI over time. You will play a key role in moving the organization toward a pragmatic, AI-driven development and operations model, starting from the MVP and maturing iteratively.

Key Responsibilities

• Design scalable, cloud-native architecture for real-time delivery operations (order management, dispatch, routing, tracking)
• Mentor a high-performing engineering team
• Own technical decisions on microservices architecture, databases, APIs, and integration patterns
• Establish development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and operational excellence standards
• Partner with product and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Ensure system reliability, user experience, performance, and security at scale.

Required Experience

• 10+ years in software development with 3+ years in architect/principal engineer roles
• Proven track record building real-time, high-transaction platforms (marketplace, logistics, or on-demand systems)
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), containerization, and orchestration
• Hands-on with modern tech stacks, AI assisted development and architecture decisions
• Experience building and leading technical teams of 5-10 engineers.

Preferred Skills

• Prior work on delivery, logistics, or two-sided marketplace platforms
• Expertise in geospatial systems, routing algorithms, and real-time tracking
• Knowledge of mobile backend architectures and API design
• Experience with ML/AI integration for demand forecasting or route optimization
