The SAP Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the sales efforts related to SAP license/subscriptions and services. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, building and maintaining customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. The SAP Sales Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, understands client needs, and positions SAP solutions effectively to address business challenges.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share for SAP products and services.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
  2. Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
    • Understand clients’ business requirements and align SAP solutions to address their challenges.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights on how SAP solutions can enhance their business processes.
  3. Sales Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and collective sales objectives.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including pre-sales, marketing, and consulting, to ensure cohesive and effective sales processes.
  4. Pipeline Management:
    • Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of opportunities and timely closure of deals.
    • Forecast sales projections and provide regular updates to leadership on sales performance.
  5. Product Knowledge:
    • Stay informed about SAP products, services, and industry trends.
    • Conduct training sessions for the sales team to ensure a deep understanding of SAP solutions and effective communication with clients.
  6. Contract Negotiation:
    • Lead negotiations with clients, ensuring favorable terms for both parties.
    • Work closely with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts and agreements.
  7. Sales Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present sales reports, performance metrics, and analyses to leadership.
    • Utilize CRM tools to track and manage customer interactions, sales activities, and revenue forecasts.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  2. Proven experience in SAP sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  3. Strong understanding of SAP products and services, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  5. Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
  6. Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and execute effective sales plans.
  7. Knowledge of the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) landscape and the ability to position SAP solutions in the context of broader business strategies.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Certification in SAP sales or relevant areas is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
